Common Questions About RV Glass Services

Most RV windshield replacements can be completed in one day, though the exact time depends on the size and type of glass. Class A motorhome windshields with their curved design typically take 4-6 hours, while Class B and C vehicle windshields are often completed in 2-4 hours. After installation, we recommend allowing 1-2 hours for the urethane adhesive to cure before driving. We'll give you a more specific timeframe when we assess your vehicle.

Yes, we do! Our fully equipped service vehicles can handle most windshield replacements and many window repairs at your location. Mobile service is available throughout our service area, which includes Kennewick, Richland, Pasco, Walla Walla, and the surrounding communities. Some large Class A windshield replacements may require a shop visit due to equipment needs, but we'll discuss all options during your quote.

We service virtually all types of RV windows including frameless sliding windows, awning-style windows, fixed picture windows, emergency exit windows, bay windows, and custom curved glass. We work on all RV classes from Class A motorhomes down to popup campers and everything in between. If you have an older or specialty RV with unusual window sizes, we often can source or fabricate the glass you need.

RV windshield replacement typically ranges from $450 to $2,500 depending on several factors. The size of the windshield is the biggest factor—larger glass costs more. Class A motorhome windshields are at the higher end of the range, while Class B and C windshields are generally more affordable. We also offer different glass options including OEM (original equipment manufacturer) and premium aftermarket glass. We'll provide you with a detailed quote after assessing your specific needs.

Foggy windows indicate that the seal between the glass panes has failed, allowing moisture to enter. Unfortunately, there's no practical way to repair this—once the seal is compromised, it will continue to fog. The solution is to replace the window glass unit with new glass and seals. We can replace single-pane windows with double-pane units for better insulation and clarity, depending on your preferences and budget.

We serve the Tri-Cities area (Kennewick, Richland, Pasco) and surrounding communities throughout southeastern Washington and northeastern Oregon. This includes but isn't limited to Walla Walla, Hermiston, Pendleton, the Columbia Basin, and the Yakima Valley. If you're outside our primary service area, give us a call anyway—we may be able to help or can refer you to a trusted partner in your region.

Several factors determine whether a windshield can be repaired or needs replacement. Small chips (less than the size of a quarter) in non-critical areas can often be repaired with resin injection. However, cracks longer than six inches, cracks in the driver's direct line of sight, cracks that have spread, or damage to the edges of the glass typically require full replacement. We'll assess your windshield at no charge and recommend the most appropriate solution.

Absolutely. Sliding window issues are usually caused by worn rollers, damaged tracks, or dried-out lubricants. In many cases, we can repair the mechanism without needing to replace the glass itself. We'll inspect the window, diagnose the issue, and recommend the most cost-effective solution—whether that's a simple adjustment and lubrication, roller replacement, or full window unit replacement if the frame is damaged.

We recommend having your RV window and windshield seals inspected at least once a year, ideally before your main travel season. If your RV is stored outdoors exposed to intense sunlight, more frequent inspections (every 6 months) are advisable. Signs that seals need attention include visible cracking or shrinking of the sealant, difficulty operating windows, water leaks or stains inside, or musty odors. Regular maintenance can prevent expensive water damage repairs down the road.

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover). For larger jobs, we also offer financing options through third-party providers. Payment is due at the time of service for standard repairs. For insurance work, we can coordinate directly with your insurance company—though many RV glass claims are better handled as out-of-pocket expenses given typical deductibles and coverage limits.

Yes! We enjoy working on older RVs and have experience with many classic brands from previous decades. Vintage RVs often have unique window sizes and styles that are no longer available through standard suppliers. We maintain relationships with specialty suppliers and can often track down hard-to-find parts. For windows that truly can't be sourced, we can work with glass fabricators to create custom units that match your original specifications.

If you're experiencing water leaks, don't wait to address them—water damage compounds quickly. Try to identify where water is entering (windows, roof seams, etc.) and note when you see the water (after rain, while using the sink, etc.). Contact us right away for an inspection. We have specialized moisture detection equipment that can find leaks that aren't obvious. The faster we identify and repair the source, the less damage your RV will sustain.

Yes, we stand behind our workmanship with a comprehensive warranty. Our windshield replacements include a lifetime warranty on the installation—if you ever have an issue related to our installation work, we'll address it at no charge. Glass itself is covered by the manufacturer's warranty (typically one year). For sealant and leak repair work, we provide a 12-month warranty on our labor. Specific warranty details will be provided with your quote.
